Our Story

We began dating September 23rd, 2017. This picture was taken outside of Bassett High School during our sophomore year. We've grown so much since then!

For Christmas, Hunter gifted Tia a silver necklace with an "H" charm. The silver chain has been replaced three times, but Tia still wears the original charm almost every day!

Even before we began dating, we have been inseparable! We love bringing each other to events and celebrating our relationship's milestones.

We got our driver's licenses and were able to spend so much more time together! We had so much fun just driving around, and we still do!

Time flies when you're having fun, and especially when you're in love! At 16, one year felt like such a long time. Now, at 22, we are at seven years!

Tia drove us up the mountain for dinner before prom. Halfway through, her car overheated! While it cooled down, we got some pictures taken.

Tia's Grandma took us to Florida over the summer. This was Hunter's first time ever visiting Florida (but definitely not his last)!

Our senior year was cut short by the pandemic, but that gave us so much more time to spend with each other outside of school!

Due to the pandemic, our real graduation was cancelled. But, we still got dressed up to take a few pictures in our cap and gown!

With three of our friends, we went to Surf City, North Carolina for a week. This was our first vacation as adults and without adult supervision!

The pandemic didn't slow us down, but we had to get creative with our dates - even just walking in a store was thrilling during this time!

One of our favorite local restaurants is a 50s themed diner. They only play oldies on the radio! Tia knows every song, and Hunter recognizes most!

We saw one of our favorite bands, Milky Chance, in concert. This was Tia's third time seeing them! Her shirt was signed by the band in 2015.

We love date night!!! We love to make each other laugh and often make a bit of a scene when we can't stop laughing over something silly.

For Valentine's Day, we took a trip to a cabin in the mountains. We brought along our Skyrim cookbook and even visited a cave!

We both graduated from Patrick & Henry Community College with an Associate's degree in General Studies. All of our classes were online!

We love spending time together and going on special day trips! This picture is from the Greensboro Arboretum in North Carolina. Such pretty gardens!

For Hunter's 21st birthday, we had a nice dinner at a local Mexican restaurant. Over the weekend, we also hosted a cookout at the lake!

For Tia's 21st birthday, we had a nice dinner with her family at a local Italian restaurant! Her go-to meal is chicken alfredo with broccoli (and a soda).

During the summer, we try to make lots of fun memories! This picture is from The Florida Aquarium in Tampa. We love seeing all of the fish!

On our annual trip down to Florida to visit Tia's family, and as a birthday gift for Tia, we made a spontaneous decision to go down to Key West! 

Hunter proposed to Tia in Blowing Rock, North Carolina on the Blue Ridge Parkway. The engagement ring belonged to Tia's Grandma! 

We attended the Ohio Renaissance Festival with Tia's brother and sister-in-law, Orion and Sydney. Our costumes were put together by Tia!

We adopted our cat, Cookie, in January of 2024. A year later, she has opened up to us so much! She loves playing with toys and making biscuits.

"She's Fresh Off the Market!" - 2.28.25 Instead of typical shower games, we hosted a big craft session! Thank you to everyone who attended!

In 50 years, at 73 years old, we plan to celebrate our wedding anniversary by relaxing on a long cruise. Stay tuned for pictures! 😋
